Personal Statement
"God is in the details"
I love to use this quote by Ludwig Mies van der Rohe to describe my work philosophy. Throughout every project I've worked on, its been the attention to the details that has always created a good product. I make it my business to not only understand the actual project but how it fits into the bigger picture. A step that is far to often overlooked. It's that step that has always made my final product shine apart from others.

Letters of Reference
- Victor Alatorre

"Dan Beck as other former Residence Life employees belongs to a different breed of students; students that work, not for the money or the resume material, but because they believed in giving back to the University through their work and dedication. Dan has had the ability to impact the University as a whole through his daily duties and responsibilities. The future of the student portal will demonstrate the value and uniqueness of his contribution for years to come."
- Tom Fojtik

"No matter what the nature of the work might be Dan maintains a positive, enthusiastic attitude. This makes him an easy man with whom to collaborate. At times I have felt that Dan has worn himself thin due to taking on too many assignments. In order to achieve career success I believe he will have to learn how to prioritize his work at it better so that his energies can be applied most effectively. That said I have a high degree of confidence that Dan Beck will in time become a very successful professional. His work is unique and he possesses a design vision somewhat rare amongst the technically-oriented students I have worked with over the years."
- Lori Develice Collins

"To me, Dan represents the ideal learner who genuinely thirsts for knowledge and possesses an intellectual curiosity. Whether inside or outside of the classroom, I believe Dan truthfully values the lessons learned from each experience. In a new environment I am confident that Dan will take initiative, build relationships, and take full responsibility for his professional experience. The pride Dan has in his work can be truly inspirational, and I am confident he will be a tremendous asset to a new organization."
