| .: When I was first promoted to Web Manager at the Management Information Office I worked alone. The web team wasn't given many projects and in general it seen as a high priority. However, with the creation of the ResLife Portal, myResLife, the demand for web applications increase exponentially. I hired new developers for my team and gave them all jobs. The only problem was, it was hard to keep track of exactly what everyone was working on. I looked |  | around at different project management software but I couldn't find anything that fit what I was looking for.
.: Instead of settling for what someone wanted to sell me, I created my own project management system. The Forge allowed me to keep track of all the various project the web team was doing and see what stage they were at. It soon caught on and the program was expanded to other areas of the Department. |
