.: The Department of Residence Life at UW Oshkosh in their efforts to recruit new people to become Residence Hall Directors (RHD) and Assistant RHDs asked me to revamp their recruitment site. I had created their previous recruitment website a few years back, however they had just updated their printed catalog and they wanted a new look for website. I was given full control over the project in terms of how the website was set up (meaning they didn't mind that it deviated from the catalog as the website could contain more information and be updated more frequently). The freedom gave me the opportunity to really explore different website layouts then what I had previously been confined to, and in the end yielded a much better site then what could have been achieved if I had been confined to just recreating the catalog online.
.: I went about this project as I would any other project given to me. I gathered |  | up all my notes from the first website I created for them, got all the new material, and talked to the director who was in charge of the project. I then created a series of 4 different layouts and asked those involved for feedback. It was a challenge to get them all to agree on a final layout in the end (the group was split in half). I ended up meshing two of the designs together to create the final version of the site.
